Job summary

Mills Automotive Group in Smithfield, NC is seeking an experienced Title Clerk for a full-time position. The candidate will handle title work for retail and wholesale transactions, re-assign trade titles, and prepare titles for auctions, while performing routine accounting tasks.

Strong organizational and communication skills are required, along with basic accounting and familiarity with DMV software. Prior automotive dealership title experience and knowledge of CDK systems are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Must have previous automotive dealership accounting experience.
• Experience with title processes and DMV software.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Proficient with standard DMV computer software and accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Process title work for Retail and Wholesale work.
• Re-assign all trade titles
• Prepare titles for auctions
• Perform basic and routine accounting functions
• Maintain Title log
• Follow-up on all titles/issues with department heads and/or customers
• Stock in all new vehicles including dealer trades
• Maintain assigned accounting schedules and reconcile assigned general ledger accounts for Tag and Title.
• Handle miscellaneous clerical tasks as assigned.
