Job summary

Group 1 Automotive is seeking a Technician Trainee in Kentucky to support lubrication services and inspections. You will work with a service team, learn safety practices, and help maintain shop efficiency.

Ideal candidates bring a love for automotive work, a positive attitude, and good communication. A valid driver’s license is required, with training opportunities and comprehensive benefits provided.

Responsibilities

• Perform lubrication services safely (oil, transmission fluids, filters).
• Inspect the vehicle and refer needed repairs to the Service Advisor.
• Operate and maintain lubrication equipment.
• Keep the customer’s car clean and in good order.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe shop area.
• Follow safety policies and procedures at all times.
• Ensure lifts and tools are in proper working order.
• Demonstrate Group 1 values in all customer and coworker interactions.

Overview

Group 1 Automotive is a fast-growing leader in automotive retail, and we are looking to add qualified Technician Trainee!

Responsibilities

• Perform all lubrication services (changing oil transmission fluids and filters) in a safe manner.
• Perform thorough check of customer’s car (i.e. check additional fluid levels, battery, lights, tire pressure) referring all needed repairs and preventive maintenance to the Service Advisor.
• Operates and maintains all lubrication equipment.
• Ensure that the customer’s car is kept clean.
• Maintain an organized and neat shop area.
• Comply with all company safety policies and procedures.
• Make certain all equipment is in proper working order, especially the lifts.
• Demonstrates behaviors consistent with the Company’s Values in all interactions with customers, co-workers and vendors.
