Job summary

Group 1 Automotive, a Fortune 250 leader in automotive retail, is seeking an Automotive Technician in the Lubbock area. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles to high standards, working in a fast-paced service environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• ASE certification(s) or specialization in brakes/electrical/engine preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality vehicle diagnostics and repairs in a fast-paced shop.
• Repair and replace components following manufacturer specifications.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Provide accurate time estimates and communicate progress to service advisors.
• Stay current with evolving automotive technology through ongoing training.

Group 1 Automotive, one of the largest leaders in automotive retail sales and service. We are growing and looking forAutomotive Technicians in Lubbock area to join our team!Our Service Technicians should be passionate about customer service, take pride in their work and enjoy being part of a winning team that cares about employees.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality repairs efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced, high-volume service environment
• Conduct comprehensive diagnostics, troubleshooting, and testing on automotive systems
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Road-test vehicles to verify successful repairs
• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures
• Provide timely updates to service advisors on repair status and estimated completion times for customer communication.
• Participate in ongoing training to stay current with evolving automotive technology
• Uphold company values in all interactions with customers, coworkers, and vendors

Qualifications

• Experience as an Automotive Technician required
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• National Institute of Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification(s) or certification(s) in different specialized areas such as brakes, electrical/electronic systems or engine performance preferred
• Excellent customer service skills
• Professional appearance and work ethic
