Job summary

Group 1 Automotive is actively seeking experienced Automotive Technicians to join our Group 1 dealerships. This role is ideal for technicians who take pride in their craft, work in a professional, well-equipped shop, and seek consistent work with competitive flat-rate earnings and long-term career growth.

You’ll have access to state-of-the-art facilities, ongoing OEM training, and the stability of an industry leader investing in its technicians.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of automotive technician experience performing complex repairs and diagnostics.
• ASE certification(s) in brakes, electrical/electronic systems or engine performance are strongly preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality repairs efficiently and accurately, following dealership and factory standards.
• Conduct comprehensive diagnostics, troubleshooting, and testing on automotive systems.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Road-test vehicles to verify successful repairs.
• Provide timely updates to service advisors on repair status and estimated completion times.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality repairs efficiently and accurately, following dealership and factory standards
• Conduct comprehensive diagnostics, troubleshooting, and testing on automotive systems
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Road-test vehicles to verify successful repairs
• Adhereto all company safety policies and procedures
• Providetimelyupdates to service advisors on repair status and estimated completion times for customer communication.
• Participate in ongoing training to stay current with evolving automotive technology
• Uphold company values in all interactions with customers, coworkers, and vendors

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of automotive technician experience performing complex repairs and diagnostics, (dealership experience preferred)
• National Institute of Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification(s) in different specialized areas such as brakes, electrical/electronic systems or engine performance strongly preferred
• Manufacturer certifications are a bonus!
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver license in the state that you will work anda good drivingrecord
• Excellent customer service skills
• Professional appearance and work ethic
• Mustpass backgroundcheck,MVR, and drug screening
