Job summary
Pep Boys in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a skilled Automotive Technician who can inspect, diagnose and repair tires and automotive systems while delivering excellent customer service. You will explain complex repairs to customers and peers and stay current with evolving vehicle technology.
This role requires at least 1 year of diagnostic/repair experience, a high school diploma or GED, and ASE certifications preferred.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- At least 1 year of automotive diagnostic/repair experience.
- 2+ ASE certifications preferred (A4 Steering and Suspension; A5 Brakes).
- Section 609 certification preferred; State Inspection license if applicable.
- Valid driver's license and pre-employment background check.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair brake, hydraulic, exhaust, electrical, cooling, suspension and alignment systems.
- Perform maintenance services and advise on necessary repairs.
- Explain diagnoses and repairs to customers and non-mechanical staff.
- Stay current with automotive technology through formal training.
- Assist and mentor fellow technicians; keep shop organized and safe.
- Adhere to company policies, safety, and environmental rules.
- Notify management of mechanical repair problems as they occur.
