Job summary

Pep Boys is seeking an automotive technician to inspect, diagnose, and repair tire and auto services while delivering excellent customer experiences. You will explain technical issues to customers and colleagues, mentor peers, and stay updated with evolving automotive technology.

A high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of hands-on experience are expected, with ASE certifications preferred. You will work in a fast-paced shop, maintain safety standards, and participate in ongoing training

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• At least 1 year of automotive diagnostic, problem-solving and repair experience.
• ASE certifications (A4 Steering & Suspension, A5 Brakes) preferred.
• 609 certification preferred.
• State Inspection license if applicable.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Pre-employment background check.
• Ability to work days, nights, holidays, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications across brake/hydraulic, exhaust, electrical, cooling, suspension and alignment.
• Explain diagnoses and repairs to customers and coworkers clearly.
• Mentor and train fellow technicians as needed.
• Learn new automotive techniques through formal training.
• Maintain an organized, safe shop and follow company policies.
