Job summary

Pep Boys in Frisco, TX is seeking an Automotive Mechanic who can professionally inspect, diagnose and repair tire and automotive services while delivering an excellent customer experience. You will explain technical diagnoses to customers and coworkers and stay updated with evolving automotive technology.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, 6 months of automotive repair experience, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
6 months automotive mechanical problem-solving and repair experience.
Section 609 Certification preferred.
State Inspection license if applicable.
Must have a valid driver's license.
Successful completion of pre-employment background check.
Availability to work days, nights, holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair to specifications—brake/hydraulic, exhaust, electrical, cooling, suspension and alignment.
Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals.
Mentor and assist fellow technicians and maintain shop organization.
Learn new techniques in training to stay current with automotive technology.
Keep management informed of mechanical repair problems as they occur.
Adhere to all company policies, safety and environmental rules.
