Qualifications

  • 2+ years of automotive technician experience required.
  • Valid Driver's License needed.
  • Maintain an Automotive Technician State Inspector’s license, where applicable.

Responsibilities

  • Perform brakes, suspension, tire installation, and scheduled maintenance.
  • Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and perform necessary repairs.
  • Collaborate with team members and provide leadership to General Service Technicians.

Job description

Responsible for the efficient diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of Guest vehicles, the Automotive Technician position offers a great opportunity to start your career at Monro. From day one, you'll participate in a comprehensive Technician training program that covers all aspects of your role and prepares you for advancement. As an Automotive Technician at Monro, you'll be a vital team member performing repair services on Guest vehicles. You will work with a team dedicated to delivering 5-star Guest experiences, using your Technician skills to ensure safe, reliable transportation for our guests.

The hourly range for this role is $20.00 - $45.00.

This role is eligible for additional compensation and incentives. Pay will be based on experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform brakes, suspension, tire installation, scheduled maintenance, and other automotive repairs within your qualifications
  • Obtain guest approval before performing work based on diagnosis; maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and perform necessary repairs and maintenance
  • Test drive guest vehicles and safely use shop equipment to pick up inventory as needed
  • Collaborate with team members and provide leadership to General Service Technicians

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of automotive technician experience
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Own a basic set of automotive tools or participate in the tool purchase program
  • Ability to work with hands overhead, stand for long periods, and lift 50 lbs.
  • Guest and team-focused mindset
  • Maintain an Automotive Technician State Inspector’s license, where applicable

Preferred Qualifications

  • ASE certification in at least one area (A1-A8)
  • Automotive technical school certificate or degree
