Job summary

Ed Napleton Automotive Group is seeking Journeyman Technicians for Napleton's Valley Hyundai in Aurora, IL. The role services a busy shop with 100+ cars daily, diagnosing and repairing to dealer and factory standards to build customer trust and loyalty.

We offer a starting pay of $45.15 per hour, incentive-based pay, and top flat-rate hours, plus medical/dental/vision, 401(k), paid training, certifications, and career advancement opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Journeyman Technician required.
• Self-starter who is process-driven and capable of learning.
• Willingness to undergo a background check and be 18+ years old.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications across brake, hydraulic, exhaust, fuel, ignition, electrical, suspension, A/C and computer systems.
• Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical customers and staff.
• Keep the service bay organized and up to date with training and new tech.
• Update management on mechanical repair problems as they arise.

Located at Napleton's Valley Hyundai, theTechnicianisresponsible for vehicle repair and maintenance as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards. This position will build Customer loyalty by developing trust and ensuring confidence in Napleton through effective vehicle diagnosis and repair.

Job Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair to specifications - brake and hydraulic, exhaust, primary and/or advanced fuel ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning and computer systems.
• Adequate explain technical diagnosis and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include employees and customers as required.
• Continuously update technical skills and techniques in formal training sessions to stay abreast with rapidly changing automotive technology.
• Keep store management aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur.
• Maintains an organized and neat service bay

Job Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Journeyman Technician required.
• Ideal candidate will be a self-starter who is process-driven
• Willingness to undergo a background check in accordance with local law/regulations
• 18+ years of age or older to comply with the company driving policy
