Job summary

UPS is seeking an Automotive Technician (Non CDL) to maintain a diverse fleet, including delivery vehicles and heavy-duty tractors and trailers. The role covers diesel, gasoline and alternative propulsion systems, with hands-on troubleshooting of brakes, electrical and engine systems.

Shifts vary (2nd/3rd) and may include Sunday-Thursday or Tuesday-Saturday schedules. Uniforms provided; extensive benefits and paid vacations are offered. Prior diagnostic tool experience is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Current automotive mechanical experience.
• Experience using diagnostic equipment, scan tools and personal computer.
• Possesses full complement of personal hand tools.
• Class A CDL - Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meets D.O.T requirements required by job assignment.
• Operates standard and manual transmission and uses power/ Pneumatic tools.
• Meets all requirements to be Power Industrial Truck Operations (PITO) certified.
