Job summary

Monro, Inc. is seeking automotive technicians to perform diagnostics and routine maintenance with a flat-rate pay model based on experience. Roles can be full-time or part-time and are paid hourly according to business needs.

You will deliver 5-star service by clearly communicating issues and proposed solutions to guests. The job emphasizes safety, adherence to standards, and ongoing training through Monro University.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Automotive training or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• ASE certification and State Inspection license (where applicable) preferred.
• Must possess a current valid driver's license and have a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
• Required to own a basic set of tools or participate in Monro's tool purchase program.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic vehicle diagnostics to identify required repairs.
• Complete Monro's Courtesy Inspection process on every guest vehicle and document additional needed services.
• Assist in inventory management, including pulling tires and parts and stocking inventory.
• Help with general store duties to keep the store clean and guest-ready.
• Adhere to safety standards including wheel torque, oil safety, and compliance procedures.
• Test drive vehicles per the Road Test policy while following traffic laws.
• Follow company policies, governmental standards, and ANSI/OSHA guidelines.
• Maintain technical knowledge via Monro University training modules.
• Operate and maintain all equipment safely per guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Automotive training including basic car maintenance and repair

ASE certification and State Inspection license (preferred)

Valid driver's license and satisfactory MVR

Own basic set of tools or participate in tool purchase program
