Wayside Garage in Seaside, California is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician. This full-time role pays $33.80–$65.00 per hour based on production tier, with weekly pay and a set Monday–Friday schedule.

Join a third-generation shop working on domestic, Asian, European, truck, and some heavy-duty vehicles, including Ford and Toyota as common makes. Benefits include paid time off, holidays, and extensive training opportunities, with a focus on quality repairs and diagnostics.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of automotive repair experience required.
• Experience performing general automotive maintenance and repair work.
• Basic-to-intermediate diagnostic ability with willingness to develop skills.
• Ability to work across a variety of domestic, Asian, and European vehicles.
• Personal automotive tools for this technician level.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, testing, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of vehicles.
• Diagnose concerns at a basic-to-intermediate level and develop skills.
• Complete steering and suspension repairs and other general tasks.
• Perform timing belt, gasket, and other labor-intensive repairs.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and vehicle inspections.
• Complete digital vehicle inspections with photos and findings.
• Use scan tools and diagnostic equipment including Snap-on, Autel, Bosch.
• Collaborate with production lead and service team to maintain workflow.
