Job summary

Pep Boys in California seeks an Automotive Mechanic to inspect, diagnose and repair tire and automotive services while delivering excellent customer experiences. You will explain repairs to customers and co-workers and stay current with evolving automotive tech.

You will learn, train others, and maintain a clean, safe shop, with availability for days, nights, holidays, and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 months auto repair experience preferred.
• Section 609 certification preferred.
• State Inspection license if applicable and valid.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair brake, hydraulic, exhaust, electrical, cooling, suspension and alignment systems to spec.
• Explain technical diagnoses and repairs to customers and coworkers.
• Continuously learn new automotive Tech information and techniques.
• Mentor and assist fellow technicians; keep shop organized and safe.
