Job summary

Pep Boys Inc is seeking an Automotive Mechanic to inspect, diagnose and repair tire and automotive services while delivering an excellent customer experience. You will explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to customers and co-workers, and stay updated with rapidly changing automotive technology to perform work to specifications.

Additionally, you will train and mentor teammates, maintain a clean and safe shop, and adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety rules while

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 6 months automotive mechanical problem-solving and repair experience.
• Section 609 Certification preferred and state inspection license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair brake, hydraulic, exhaust, electrical, cooling, suspension and alignment systems.
• Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to customers and coworkers.
• Continuously learn new automotive techniques to stay updated.
• Train and mentor co-workers and maintain a safe, organized shop.
