Job summary

Pep Boys in Houston, TX is seeking an Automotive Technician to inspect, diagnose, and repair tire and automotive services while delivering an excellent customer experience. You will explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to customers and coworkers, and you will continuously learn new techniques to stay updated with rapidly changing automotive technology.

The role includes mentoring teammates, maintaining a clean, safe shop, and supporting management by communicating repair needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of automotive diagnosis, problem-solving and repair experience.
• State inspection license and ASE certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications including brakes, exhaust, electrical, cooling, suspension and alignment.
• Explain diagnoses and needed repairs to customers and coworkers.
• Mentor fellow technicians and maintain a clean, safe shop.
• Stay updated with automotive technology through training.
