Job summary

Group 1 Ford of Pensacola is seeking a motivated Automotive Technician who excels in vehicle repair, diagnostics, and delivering quality workmanship. The ideal candidate should have prior automotive technician experience, a valid driver license, and ASE or equivalent certifications where possible.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as an automotive technician/mechanic.
  • Ford experience is preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver license with good driving record.
  • ASE certification or related certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality repairs efficiently and accurately, following dealership and factory standards
  • Conduct comprehensive diagnostics, troubleshooting, and testing on automotive systems
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Road-test vehicles to verify successful repairs
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures
  • Provide timely updates to service advisors on repair status and estimated completion times
  • Participate in ongoing training to stay current with evolving automotive technology
  • Uphold company values in all interactions with customers, coworkers, and vendors

Qualifications
  • Previous experience as an automotive technician/mechanic
  • Ford experience is preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver license in the state that you will work and a good driving record
  • National Institute of Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification(s) or certification(s) in different specialized areas such as brakes, electrical/electronic systems or engine performance preferred
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Professional appearance and work ethic
  • Must pass background check, MVR, and drug screening
