Group 1 Honda of Gulfport is seeking a motivated Automotive Service Technician to join our award-winning dealerships. You will perform diagnostics, repairs, and tests on vehicles, ensuring quality work and effective communication with customers and service advisors.

The role requires prior technician experience, a valid MS driver license, and a strong safety mindset. We offer training, competitive pay, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an automotive technician/mechanic.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver license in the state that you will work and a good driving record.
• ASE certification or certification in brakes, electrical/electronic systems or engine performance preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Professional appearance and work ethic.
• Must pass background check, MVR, and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality repairs efficiently and accurately, following dealership and factory standards.
• Conduct comprehensive diagnostics, troubleshooting, and testing on automotive systems.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Road-test vehicles to verify successful repairs.
• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
• Provide timely updates to service advisors on repair status and estimated completion times for customer communication.
• Participate in ongoing training to stay current with evolving automotive technology.
• Uphold company values in all interactions with customers, coworkers, and vendors.
