Job summary

Group 1 Automotive is seeking automotive technicians to join our nationwide network. You will perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on vehicles using cutting-edge tools in a state-of-the-art environment.

New openings come with a $10,000 sign-on bonus for qualified technicians and the potential for production bonuses. We welcome self-driven candidates with strong mechanical or electrical backgrounds, experience in automotive repair, and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• ASE certification is a plus.
• Experience in automotive repair is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic testing and identify vehicle issues.
• Conduct repairs and maintenance to factory standards.
• Communicate with service advisors on work status and timelines.

Often seen as heroes by our customers, technicians perform diagnoses, repairs and maintenance of vehicles in accordance with demanding Group 1 automotive factory and center standards.

We welcome self-driven, motivated candidates with:

• Strong mechanical or electrical background.
• Experience in automotive, electrical or aircraft repair. (highly preferred)
• An ability to work on commission and produce results. (Guarantee during training period)
• Technical school or equivalent training. (a plus but not required)
• ASE certification (a plus but not required).

Qualifications:

• Efficient and accurate work in accordance with dealership’s and factory standards
• Complete system diagnostics and full automotive troubleshooting and testing
• Maintain an organized shop area
• Road-test vehicles to ensure quality work
• Comply with company safety policies and procedures
• Communicate directly with service advisors regarding the status of the service work
• Continuously learn new technical information and techniques
• Adhere to Group 1 Automotive values: Transparency, Professionalism and Teamwork

Compensation: $20.00 to $75.00 hourly based on experience level
