Job summary

Group 1 Automotive is hiring Automotive Technicians for opportunities across our U.S. footprint. You will perform diagnostics, repairs, and routine maintenance using state-of-the-art equipment and factory standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in completing diagnostics and full automotive troubleshooting per dealer standards.
• ASE certification is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnoses, repairs and maintenance of vehicles per Group 1 standards.
• Operate in a state-of-the-art shop environment with advanced diagnostic tools.
• Maintain organized work areas and comply with safety policies.
• Road-test vehicles to verify repair work and report results to service advisors.

Often seen as heroes by our customers, technicians perform diagnoses, repairs and maintenance of vehicles in accordance with demanding Group 1 automotive factory and center standards.

• Strong mechanical or electrical background.
• Experience in automotive, electrical or aircraft repair. (highly preferred)
• An ability to work on commission and produce results. (Guarantee during training period)
• Technical school or equivalent training. (a plus but not required)

Qualifications:

• Efficient and accurate work in accordance with dealership’s and factory standards
• Complete system diagnostics and full automotive troubleshooting and testing
• Maintain an organized shop area
• Road-test vehicles to ensure quality work
• Comply with company safety policies and procedures
• Communicate directly with service advisors regarding the status of the service work
• Continuously learn new technical information and techniques
• Adhere to Group 1 Automotive values: Transparency, Professionalism and Teamwork

Compensation: $20.00 to $75.00 hourly based on experience level
