Job summary

Midlands Honda in Columbia, SC is seeking Automotive Technicians to join our award-winning, high-volume service team. The role offers a strong earning potential with a salary range of $70,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year plus commission and a sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.

We are a Hudson Automotive Group dealership, offering production bonuses, PTO from day 1, training, and a climate-controlled facility. Valid driver’s license and an automotive background are required.

Qualifications

• Requires 3-5+ years automotive technician experience.
• Manufacturer experience preferred.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Customer-focused, self-motivated and coachable.

Responsibilities

• Test-drive vehicles and diagnose components and systems using diagnostic tools.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems (engine, transmission, electrical, steering, brakes, A/C).
• Communicate with Service Advisor about additional repairs and time estimates.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications and coordinate with parts.

What are the responsibilities for an Automotive Technician with Hudson Automotive?

• Technicians perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with quality and dealership standards.
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications and communicate with the parts department to obtain needed parts.

Qualifications:

• Valid Drivers License
• 3-5+ years Automotive Technician Experience (Required)
• Manufacturer experience preferred
• Customer focused professional who is self-motivated, competitive and coachable.
