Job summary

SONS Automotive Group is seeking a Service Technician for our service department. We value customer care and have a loyal customer base. Service tech experience is preferred; novice or ASE-certified techs are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• ASE certifications preferred.
• Novice techs encouraged to apply – we will train you.
• Strong automotive background.
• Strong teamwork skills.
• Willing to submit to a drug screen & background check.
• Must have clean & valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
• Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and service equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and A/C.
• Communicate with the Service Advisor to inform customers if additional service is needed and provide time estimates for repairs.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.

• Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.

• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs

• Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
