Job summary

SONS Automotive Group is seeking a Service Technician to join our service department. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicle systems, communicate with the Service Advisor, and uphold our customer-focused standards.

Qualifications

• Strong automotive background required or preferred.
• Teamwork and communication skills required.
• Willing to submit to a drug screen and background check.
• Must have a clean and valid driver''s license.
• Novice technicians are encouraged to apply and will be trained.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
• Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and A/C.
• Communicate with the Service Advisor about needed additional repairs and provide time estimates.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership

• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment

• Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.

• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs

• Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications

Qualifications:

• ASE certifications preferred

• Novice techs encouraged to apply - we will train you!
