Job summary

SONS Automotive Group is seeking a Service Technician to join the service department. We serve a loyal customer base and provide guaranteed paid training to new hires.

Experience is preferred, but novice technicians are welcome and will be trained. Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing automotive systems, test-driving vehicles, and communicating with Service Advisors about additional repair needs and time estimates.

Qualifications

• Must have strong automotive background and be able to work efficiently on flow of repair orders.
• Teamwork and communication with Service Advisors to inform customers about repairs.
• Willing to undergo drug screening and background checks; valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair work specified on the service order with efficiency and quality.
• Test-drive vehicles and use diagnostic tools to diagnose issues.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, A/C.
• Communicate with Service Advisor about additional repairs and time estimates.
• Perform repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications

Qualifications:

• ASE certifications preferred
• Novice techs encouraged to apply - we will train you!
