Step One Automotive Group in Crestview, FL is seeking a diligent Tag and Title Associate to process vehicle registrations and prepare tax/title documents for both new and used vehicles. This role requires accuracy in a fast-paced dealership setting.

You will communicate with customers and dealership staff, verify funds in accounting records, and ensure compliance with title regulations. Automotive dealership experience is preferred; background checks may apply. Full-time with benefits.

Qualifications

• Two to four years related experience and/or training; automotive dealership experience preferred.
• Must pass a background check, drug screening, and Motor Vehicle Report.

Responsibilities

• Processes all new and used vehicles for registration in the state in which they will be titled.
• Prepares tax and title documents.
• Submits all legal transfer paperwork to DMV or processing company, when applicable.
• Communicates with customers, dealership personnel and title agencies.
• Verifies funds are posted in accounting records and that the correct lienholder was paid off before processing title applications.
• Keeps Controller abreast of missing titles and provides status of title work as needed.
• Maintains a system to verify out-of-state titles.
• Manages yearly renewal of dealer tags.
• Stays abreast of title regulations.
• Maintains a professional appearance and a neat work area.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
