Job summary

TGK Automotive Specialists in Minnesota seeks an Assistant Store Manager to drive overall store performance, oversee guest services, and manage expenses to maximize profitability. The role emphasizes sales leadership, team development, and adherence to store standards within a busy auto service environment.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in auto repair shop sales leadership, coaching experience, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of experience of sales in an auto repair shop management position or equivalent business experience in the automotive industry.
• Experience coaching team members to success through effective communication; business development and strategy implementation knowledge.
• Proven ability to develop and meet monthly, quarterly, and annual plans with clearly defined goals.
• Proven track record of consistently meeting and exceeding sales and profit goals.
• Previous experience as an Automotive Technician or similar position preferred, but not required.
• Possess valid driver’s license; must be at least 18 years old; able to work five days a week, Monday-Saturday.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and drive store performance, ensuring maximum sales and profitability through expense control and cost management.
• Maintain guest services standards, handle escalated customer issues, and ensure timely commitments.
• Lead and coach the store management team; conduct regular meetings, evaluations, and audits to ensure policy compliance.
• Analyze business trends and implement plans to maximize sales, manage inventory, and optimize margins.
• Coordinate human resources, scheduling, and employee development to support store goals.
