Job summary

HARMAN International in Novi, Michigan is seeking a senior Business Development professional to drive software product opportunities for Ignite Marketplace, OTA, and Feature-on-Demand in connected vehicles.

You will partner with BU, product management, marketing, engineering, and delivery teams to articulate value, identify deals, and develop pricing models. The role requires 7–8 years in BD/sales with hands-on software/hardware experience and a BS/BA degree. English proficiency is essential.

Qualifications

• Extensive understanding of automotive connected vehicle solutions and business models.
• Ability to articulate business value of connected vehicle solutions.
• Ability to influence teams across the organization to achieve outcomes.
• Minimum of 7-8 years of business development, sales or pre-sales experience with hands-on software/hardware development.
• BS/BA Degree required.
• Proficient in English.

Responsibilities

• Understand roadmap, value proposition, and architecture for Software Products solutions with cross-functional teams.
• Articulate user stories, value propositions, and features for automotive software products.
• Locate and propose software product deals by contacting customers and partners; discover opportunities.
• Screen potential deals by analyzing strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financials; resolve priorities.
• Document customer requirements from meetings and CAM teams and other inputs.
• Support business case and pricing model development for proposals.
• Develop presentations, proposals, and other materials to close opportunities.
