Job summary

MFA Petroleum Company is hiring a General Service Technician for its Big O Tires franchise in Missouri. You will drain oil, change oil filter, rotate and balance tires, service vehicles, and assist customers with sales while maintaining store appearance.

Requirements include a valid driver’s license, ability to lift up to 75 pounds, willingness to work holidays and weekends, and strong communication skills. Training is provided, with opportunities for career growth within MFA Oil and Big O Tires.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to learn new concepts and use technical materials.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to work legally in the United States.
• Ability to meet company requirements including pre-employment screenings.

Responsibilities

• Drain oil and change oil filter; lubricate vehicles; install, rotate and balance tires; torque wheels; check and fill fluids and replace filters and lights.
• Unload tires and merchandise from deliveries.
• Inspect tires and store or dispose of disposed tires.
• Greet customers and provide fast, friendly service; promote sales.
• Perform sales duties per company policy including pricing, promotions, and suggestive selling.
• Maintain store appearance to Big O Tires standards.
• Safely operate customer vehicles with automatic and manual transmissions.
• Complete required training (Today’s Class Technician).
• Keep supervisor informed of maintenance problems; assist in training new employees.
