Job summary

VIP, Inc. is seeking an Installation Technician to perform tire services, oil changes, and related under-hood maintenance with a focus on safety and quality. You will handle service work orders, MPIs and customer communications while maintaining shop standards.

The role requires ASE certifications in G1, A4 and A5, and ongoing training to support the 5-for-5 process. This is a full-time, on-site position with standard 40-hour weeks at Needham Heights, MA.

Qualifications

• Read, analyze, and interpret technical instructions, journals and procedures or governmental regulations.
• Effectively explain vehicle information to customers, answer questions from coworkers.
• Diagnose and recommend solutions to basic automotive problems.
• Interpret, understand, and apply written, oral, diagram or schedule instructions.
• Ability to perform automotive services listed above.

Responsibilities

• Ensure workplace safety as priority; follow safety policies and training.
• Provide tire services, oil changes, under-hood services, MPIs, wheel alignments and preventive maintenance.
• Ensure a valid Service Work Order is initiated before service and displayed during service.
• Complete MPIs and participate in the 5-for-5 Customer Engagement Process.
• Return parts and printouts to the Desk Team after service completion.
• Maintain organized work area and shop equipment; follow safety and loss prevention programs.
• Maintain ASE certifications and relevant training and certification requirements.
• Road test vehicles as necessary to ensure safe operation.
• Assist in team meetings and coordinate with Service Manager.
