Job summary
VIP, Inc. is seeking an Installation Technician to perform automotive tire services, oil changes, and under-hood maintenance with a strong emphasis on safety and quality.
The role requires completing MPI processes, maintaining service work orders, and supporting the 5-for-5 customer engagement approach. Ideal candidates will have relevant ASE certifications (G1, A4, A5) and at least one year of automotive service experience, plus a valid driver’s license.
Qualifications
- One year of related experience in automotive service field.
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended.
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence.
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended.
- ASE Certification A4 – Suspension & Steering.
- ASE Certification A5 – Brake systems (implied by context).
Responsibilities
- Perform automotive tire, oil, under-hood, MPI, wheel alignment, and preventive maintenance services.
- Ensure service work orders are initiated and displayed during service.
- Maintain safety, quality, and housekeeping standards in the shop.
- Complete required LMS and safety trainings; obtain ASE certifications as noted.
- Maintain productivity targets and proper disposal of hazardous waste.
- Follow VIP policies and participate in team meetings and training sessions.
