Job summary

Monro, Inc. is seeking a General Service Technician to perform basic vehicle repairs and maintenance. The role is hourly and available as full-time or part-time, focusing on clear communication of issues and proposed solutions to guests.

You will handle tire services, oil changes, bulb/filter replacements, battery work, and routine Courtesy Inspections on every vehicle. Safety, inventory support, and teamwork in a fast-paced retail auto service environment are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Automotive training including basic car maintenance and repair or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Accurately perform basic vehicle services and repairs to Monro standards.
• Tire Services – wheel removal, balancing, patch/plug repairs, mounting and TPMS service.
• Vehicle Services – lubrications, oil changes, basic maintenance and battery testing/installation.
• Complete Monro’s Courtesy Inspection on every guest vehicle and communicate needed services.
• Assist in inventory management and stocking of tires/parts.
• Support general store duties and maintain guest-ready cleanliness.
• Follow safety standards including wheel torque and oil safety procedures.
• Test drive vehicles per Road Test policy on approved routes.
• Adhere to company policies and governmental safety standards.
• Maintain knowledge by completing Monro University training modules.
• Operate equipment safely per guidelines; perform other duties as assigned.
