Ed Napleton Automotive Group seeks an Automotive Service Technician for its Volvo/Volkswagen of Orlando location. You will perform vehicle repairs and maintenance per dealership standards, diagnose issues, and communicate repair needs to customers and staff.

The role emphasizes customer service, accurate work, and staying current with factory trainings; great growth opportunities exist within a large automotive group.

Qualifications

• Experience as Automotive Service Technician or similar role.
• Excellent customer service skills and professional demeanor.
• Strong communication with customers, service advisors, and parts staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle repair and maintenance per repair order and factory standards.
• Communicate with Parts and Service Advisors to manage production and customer updates.
• Diagnose issues and explain repairs to customers and staff clearly.
• Stay current with factory bulletins and participate in training.
• Maintain organized work area and report problems to management.

Located atVolkswagen of Orlando, theAutomotive Service Technicianwill be responsible for vehicle repair and maintenance as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards. This position will build Customer loyalty by developing trust and ensuring confidence in Napleton through effectively diagnosing vehicles.

Job Responsibilities:

• Performing vehicle repair and/or maintenance work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards to drive Customer loyalty.
• Communicating with Parts Department and Service Advisors regularly to effectively manage production and Customer communication.
• Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction and perform repair.
• Adequately explains technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include employees and customers
• Keeping abreast of factory technical bulletins and participating in factory-sponsored training classes as appropriate
• Keeps store management aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur
• Maintains an organized work area

Job Requirements:

• Automotive Service Technician experience
• ASE certification desirable
• Excellent customer service
• Strong communication skills
• Valid Driver’s License
• 18+ years of age or older to comply with the company driving policy
