Job summary

Ed Napleton Automotive Group's Napleton's Volkswagen of Sanford is seeking an experienced Automotive Service Technician to diagnose and repair vehicles to dealer and factory standards. You will work with parts and service advisors to manage repairs efficiently and build trust with customers.

The role emphasizes accurate diagnoses, keeping up with factory bulletins and training, and maintaining an organized, safe shop. Competitive pay, benefits, and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Automotive Service Technician experience
• ASE certification desirable
• Excellent customer service
• Strong communication skills
• Valid Driver’s License
• Willingness to undergo a background check in accordance with local law/regulations
• 18+ years of age or older to comply with the company driving policy

Responsibilities

• Performing vehicle repair and/or maintenance work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards to drive Customer loyalty.
• Communicating with Parts Department and Service Advisors regularly to effectively manage production and Customer communication.
• Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction and perform repair.
• Adequately explains technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include employees and customers
• Keeping abreast of factory technical bulletins and participating in factory-sponsored training classes as appropriate
• Keeps store management aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur
• Maintains an organized work area
