Job summary

The Ed Napleton Automotive Group is seeking an Automotive Service Technician at Napleton Hyundai of Hazelwood in Hazelwood, MO. The role involves repairing and maintaining vehicles to dealer and factory standards, and building trust with customers through clear, confident diagnostic work.

Qualified candidates will have automotive technician experience; ASE certification is desirable. A valid driver’s license and strong communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle repair and maintenance per repair orders to dealer and factory standards.
• Communicate with Parts Department and Service Advisors to manage production and customer communication.
• Diagnose causes of malfunctions and perform repairs as needed.
• Explain diagnoses and repairs clearly to customers and colleagues.
• Stay updated with factory bulletins and training classes.

Job Responsibilities:

• Performing vehicle repair and/or maintenance work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards to drive Customer loyalty.
• Communicating with Parts Department and Service Advisors regularly to effectively manage production and Customer communication.
• Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction and perform repair.
• Adequately explains technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include employees and customers
• Keeping abreast of factory technical bulletins and participating in factory-sponsored training classes as appropriate
• Keeps store management aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur
• Maintains an organized work area
• Other duties as assigned by management

Job Requirements:

• Automotive Service Technician experience
• ASE certification desirable
• Excellent customer service
• Strong communication skills
• Valid Driver’s License
• Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screen in accordance with local law/regulations
• 18+ years of age or older to comply with the company driving policy
