Job summary

The Ed Napleton Automotive Group is seeking an Automotive Service Technician at Napleton Hyundai of Hazelwood. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles to factory standards, building trust with customers and ensuring confidence in Napleton.

Qualifications

• Automotive Service Technician experience.
• ASE certification desirable.
• Excellent customer service.

• Valid Driver’s License.
• Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screen as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle repair/maintenance per repair order to dealership standards.
• Coordinate with Parts and Service to manage production and communication.
• Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs.
• Explain diagnoses and repairs clearly to customers/colleagues.
• Stay updated with factory bulletins and training.
• Maintain organized work area and report repair issues.

Job Responsibilities:

• Performing vehicle repair and/or maintenance work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards to drive Customer loyalty.
• Communicating with Parts Department and Service Advisors regularly to effectively manage production and Customer communication.
• Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction and perform repair.
• Adequately explains technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include employees and customers
• Keeping abreast of factory technical bulletins and participating in factory-sponsored training classes as appropriate
• Keeps store management aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur
• Maintains an organized work area
• Other duties as assigned by management

Job Requirements:

• Automotive Service Technician experience
• ASE certification desirable
• Excellent customer service
• Strong communication skills
• Valid Driver’s License
• Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screen in accordance with local law/regulations
• 18+ years of age or older to comply with the company driving policy
