Wynne Ford Group in Hampton, VA is seeking an Automotive Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles to ensure customer satisfaction and safety.

You will perform repairs to meet dealership and manufacturer standards, document repairs with parts and time, and test vehicles before and after service. Requirements include a high school diploma, prior technician experience, and a valid driver's license; a State Inspector's License is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• A-B Level tech experience preferred.
• State Inspector's License preferred.
• Working knowledge of shop equipment.
• Able to stand, bend, stoop, and lift up to 75 lbs.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Pre-employment background check and drug screen required.

Description of the role: As an Automotive Service Technician at Wynne Ford in Hampton, VA, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to ensure customer satisfaction and safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality repair and maintenance work that meets dealership and manufacturer standards
• Clearly write and communicate needed repairs/maintenance, and the parts and time needed to repair
• Repair broken or worn mechanical and technological components
• Maintain repair and service records
• Install equipment, components, and systems
• Test vehicles both before and after repair
• Repair electrical wiring, circuits, and fixtures
• Other duties may be assigned according to expertise and certifications

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Previous experience as a service technician; A-B Level tech required
• State Inspector's License is preferred
• Working knowledge of shop equipment
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop for prolonged periods of time, and the ability to lift up to 75lbs
• Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
• Must be willing to participate in pre-employment background check and drug screen
