Brakes Plus in Des Moines, IA is seeking an Automotive Service Advisor to lead the service department, set high standards, and embody our core values. You will build a motivated team, partner with the Service Team, and drive an industry-leading customer experience.

The role reports to the Store Manager and focuses on coaching, scheduling, inventory management, and safety compliance. A minimum of 2 years as a Service Advisor/Writer and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a Service Advisor/Writer role.
• Strong leadership and team-building skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Directly engages with customers on sales and service opportunities.
• Creates a motivated team environment.
• Supervises technicians and schedules duties.
• Coaches service department staff on operations.
• Monitors customer opportunities and service adjustments as needed.
• Monitors performance and productivity of service personnel.
• Manages parts inventory and restocking across the shop.
• Ensures shop safety and proper use of safety equipment.
• Ensures inspections are conducted properly.
