Job summary

FullSpeed Automotive is seeking an Assistant Manager at SpeeDee Lincoln, NE. This hands-on leadership role supports the Store Manager and leads a team across the service bay, front counter, and back office to deliver fast, friendly, high-quality automotive service.

You will coach technicians and service advisors, manage scheduling, onboarding, and customer interactions while upholding safety and brand standards. This is a growth role with emphasis on teamwork and results.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in a retail, automotive service, or customer-facing leadership role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment that includes time in the service bay.
• Basic math and cash-handling skills; comfortable using point-of-sale and inventory systems.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and some holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations and step in for the Store Manager as needed.
• Coach, train, and motivate technicians and service advisors to deliver high-quality service.
• Schedule team members to cover peak hours and busy seasons.
• Onboard and train new team members on service procedures and POS systems.
• Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment reflecting company values.
• Greet customers, explain services, and drive sales while ensuring speed and quality.
• Resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally; escalate when needed.
• Manage daily store operations: cash handling, POS transactions, and inventory levels.
• Ensure safety, cleanliness, and compliance with policies; monitor KPIs and productivity.
