Job summary

Pep Boys is seeking a customer-focused associate to engage customers in-store and over the phone, schedule appointments, and sell parts and services that help vehicles run at peak efficiency. You will perform express automotive services, manage transactions, and uphold safety and company policies while supporting a safe, organized shop environment.

The role requires a high school diploma (or equivalent), a valid driver's license, and about a year of automotive service and/or sales experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver's License.
• 1 year of related automotive service experience.
• 1 year of sales experience preferred.
• Basic math for commissions and discounts.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to work Days, Nights, Weekends, Holidays.

Responsibilities

• First point of contact for customers on the phone and in the store.
• Engage customers, schedule appointments, sell parts and service.
• Organize service business through work orders and register transactions.
• Follow policies related to cash, credit, check, refund and returns.
• Perform express automotive services (tires, oil changes, inspections).
• Maintain safety procedures and clean work environment.
• Communicate with management and customers; handle issues and opportunities.
• Open/close responsibilities as a key holder.
