Job summary

Pep Boys in Tennessee is hiring a customer-focused associate to engage customers across the service desk, sales floor, and register. You will explain processes, schedule appointments, upsell parts and services, and help drive shop profitability while upholding Pep Boys’ customer care standards.

You’ll perform express automotive services, assist with work orders and stock, and maintain a safe, organized shop environment in a team-driven setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Driver's License.
• One year of related experience in automotive service.
• One year of sales experience preferred.
• Basic math knowledge for commissions/discounts calculations.
• Strong verbal communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work days, nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• First point of contact for customers on the phone and in the store, engaging and selling parts and services.
• Organize service work orders and register transactions, and maintain product knowledge.
• Assist management with customer care, work orders, and store operations.
• Follow policies for cash, credit, checks, refunds and returns; address issues with management.
• Perform routine express automotive services (tire work, oil changes, inspections) and safety checks.
• Maintain safety procedures and a clean, organized shop environment.
