Qualifications

• Candidates should have prior automotive service management or fixed operations leadership experience.
• Deep understanding of service dept operations, KPIs, and financial performance is required.
• Knowledge of manufacturer programs, warranty processes, and compliance requirements is essential.
• Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and team development abilities.
• Excellent communication, time-management, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced dealership environment with competing priorities.
• Proficiency with dealership management systems and service software.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Able to pass background screening, drug test, and MVR as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and develop service department staff including advisors, technicians, and support.
• Oversee daily service operations for workflow efficiency and on-time repairs.
• Set and monitor department goals and objectives.
• Improve customer satisfaction scores and service retention.
• Ensure compliance with manufacturer standards and dealership procedures.
• Manage labor and parts profitability and departmental metrics.
• Collaborate with Parts, Sales, and Accounting to support dealership objectives.
• Ensure training and certifications for technicians are up to date.
• Coordinate training and send staff to appropriate schools.
• Monitor payroll and daily productivity reports.
• Follow up on parts orders to ensure availability.
• Address customer concerns professionally and timely.
• Attend managers’ meetings and maintain a safe service environment.
• Assist in recruiting, onboarding, coaching, and performance management.
