Job summary

Asbury is seeking an Automotive Service Manager to lead the service department, drive operational success, and ensure exceptional guest experiences. You will manage a team including technicians, advisors, and support staff, while coordinating with Parts and Shop Foreman to deliver timely service.

The role emphasizes improving profitability, CSI, and staff development in a fast-paced automotive environment, with emphasis on leadership and service excellence.

Qualifications

• 3+ years as automotive Service Writer/Service Assistant Manager
• Previous automotive Service Management experience required
• Experience with CDK or other automotive software required
• Strong technical aptitude
• Strong customer service skills

Responsibilities

• Oversee the service department and drive operational success with technicians, service advisors, call center staff, and shuttle drivers
• Manage employee schedules and pay plans
• Forecast department goals and objectives
• Coordinate with Parts Manager for timely parts turnaround
• Ensure timely and proper servicing of customer vehicles
• Prepare and administer annual operating budget for the service department
• Maintain CSI-driven profitability and technician proficiency
• Partner with technical schools to recruit technicians
• Handle and resolve customer complaints
• Train, develop and motivate employees
• Communicate maintenance recommendations effectively to customers
• Maintain a safe work environment and uphold company values
