Job summary

Lexus is seeking a customer-focused Service Consultant to act as the primary liaison between customers and service technicians in our dealership. You will identify customer needs, recommend maintenance and repairs, coordinate workflow within the service department, and ensure satisfaction throughout the repair process.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, knowledgeable about automotive service operations, and committed to providing outstanding customer care in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; automotive education preferred.
• Minimum 2 years in Service Consultant, Service Writer, or automotive customer service.
• Strong knowledge of automotive maintenance and repair processes.
• Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to explain technical information clearly to customers.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with dealership management systems such as Tekion is a plus.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and create a positive service experience from arrival to delivery.
• Schedule service appointments and collect vehicle information.
• Listen to concerns, inspect vehicles as needed, and document repair requests.
• Advise on maintenance and repairs based on manufacturer recommendations.
• Prepare labor and parts estimates and obtain customer authorization.
• Coordinate repair orders with technicians to maximize efficiency.
• Monitor progress and provide status updates to customers.
• Explain repairs and charges clearly to customers.
• Maintain high CSI scores through effective communication.
• Ensure compliance with dealership policies and safety procedures.
