Job summary

The Hertrich Family of Automobile Dealerships is seeking an Automotive Service Advisor / Service Writer in Maryland to join our service team. This full-time role focuses on connecting customers with service excellence and coordinating repair orders with technicians.

You will greet customers, schedule appointments, and clearly communicate repair needs and timelines while maintaining accurate service records.

Qualifications

• Customer-focused, energetic, and team-oriented attitude.
• Prior customer service and/or sales experience required (automotive experience is a plus).
• Strong communication skills (English required; Spanish bilingual preferred).
• Comfortable using computers and learning dealership software.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Flexible schedule, including evenings and Saturdays.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Greet service customers promptly and professionally.
• Answer service calls and schedule appointments.
• Communicate repair needs, estimates, and timelines clearly.
• Coordinate repair orders with Technicians.
• Keep customers informed throughout the service process.
• Recommend additional maintenance or services when appropriate.
• Maintain accurate service records.
• Deliver an exceptional customer experience-every visit.
