Greet customers and conduct vehicle walkarounds, write accurate repair orders, and communicate diagnoses and timelines.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as an Automotive Service Advisor, Service Writer, or similar.
• Strong knowledge of automotive systems and repair terminology.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask in a high-volume shop.
• Experience with service management software.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and conduct vehicle walkarounds to assess service needs and concerns.
• Write accurate and detailed repair orders based on customer descriptions and technician inspections.
• Communicate vehicle diagnosis, recommended repairs, and service timelines clearly to customers.
• Provide cost estimates and obtain customer approvals prior to initiating repairs.
• Coordinate workflow between customers and service technicians to ensure timely vehicle completion.
• Follow up with customers on vehicle status and notify them of any additional repairs or delays.
• Upsell preventative maintenance services and additional repairs based on vehicle inspections.
• Process payments and review completed repair orders with customers at vehicle delivery.

• Experience with auto service management software (AllData, Tekmetric, RO Writer, or similar)
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and follow-up skills
