Job summary

Lexus of Birmingham, a Sonic Automotive family dealership, is seeking an Automotive Service Advisor to join our busy service department in Birmingham, AL. The role focuses on delivering excellent customer service, accurate estimates, and smooth workflow.

You will greet customers, schedule appointments, communicate clearly about repairs, and help maintain high CSI scores while following safety policies and dealership standards.

Qualifications

• Dealership experience is required.
• Two years of experience in a dealership position.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Authorized to work in the USA and able to pass pre-employment checks.
• Sales experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule service appointments and obtain customer and vehicle data in advance.
• Greet customers in a timely, friendly manner.
• Provide a complete and accurate written cost estimate for labor and parts; establish promised time.
• Monitor progress and obtain authorization for any changes in the estimate or time.
• Test-drive the vehicle or refer to the test technician as needed.
• Maintain Customer Satisfaction Index at least equal to manufacturer or branch average.
• Advise customers on vehicle care per manufacturers’ specifications using maintenance menus.
• Follow safety policies and report accidents immediately.
