Job summary

Volkswagen of Fallston, part of Sonic Automotive, is seeking a Service Advisor in Fallston, MD. In this on-site role you will schedule service appointments, greet customers, and gather vehicle data to prepare accurate labor and parts estimates.

You should read and understand maintenance needs, communicate clearly with customers, and monitor repair progress. Two years of dealership experience and a high school diploma are expected; ASE certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or the equivalent.
• Two years of experience in a dealership position.
• General knowledge of vehicle mechanical operations.
• ASe certification preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Schedules service appointments. Obtains customer and vehicle data prior to arrival when possible.
• Greet customers in a timely, friendly manner.
• Provides a complete and accurate written cost estimate for labor and parts. Establishes 'promised time'.
• Checks on progress of repair throughout the day and informs customers of changes.
• Maintain CSI rating and communicate maintenance needs per manufacturer specs.
• Follow safety policies and ensure proper documentation.
