Qualifications

• Experience in automotive service is preferred but not required; willing to train the right candidate.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to learn automotive maintenance terminology and dealership processes.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record if driving is required.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, listen to concerns, and document vehicle symptoms and service requests.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate with technicians and service management to maintain workflow.
• Prepare repair orders and explain recommended services, estimates, and completion times.
• Obtain customer authorization before repairs or additional work.
• Keep customers informed about repair progress, costs, and completion times.
• Review technician recommendations with customers and explain options for maintenance and repair.
• Verify warranty or service contract coverage and follow approval procedures.
• Ensure repair orders reflect work performed, parts used, and charges.
• Address customer questions professionally and involve service management when needed.
• Assist the Service Manager with daily department operations and follow-up on outstanding work.
• Maintain records and follow dealership policies and manufacturer procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming service drive.
