Job summary

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an automotive service advisor or in a similar customer service role within the automotive industry.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, maintenance procedures, and repair processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.
• Ability to diagnose vehicle issues through questioning, inspection, and testing.
• Proficiency in using automotive service management software and basic computer skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and listen attentively to their vehicle concerns or service requests.
• Explain necessary maintenance and repair procedures clearly and professionally.
• Assist in diagnosing mechanical issues through customer interviews, visual inspections, or road tests.
• Prepare detailed repair orders based on customer needs and inspection findings.
• Estimate costs for additional repairs not included in the original service order and obtain customer approval before proceeding.
• Advise customers on available services, maintenance schedules, and vehicle care options.
• Coordinate with technicians to ensure timely and accurate completion of repairs.
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, service history, and work performed.
