Job summary

The Young Automotive Group is growing and seeking a Service Advisor / Service Writer in Ogden, UT. You will act as the liaison between customers and service technicians, documenting repair needs and communicating estimates with clarity to ensure outstanding service.

Two years of related experience, strong interpersonal skills, and a clean driving record are required. The company offers excellent benefits including on-site medical, 401k, employee pricing, and family discounts.

Qualifications

• Two years related experience and/or training required.
• History of solid and successful employment with good references.
• Proven track record of providing exceptional customer service; prior sales experience helpful.
• Clean driving record.
• Able to pass background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Schedules service appointments and obtains customer and vehicle data prior to arrival.
• Writes up customer’s vehicle problems accurately and clearly on repair orders.
• Advises customers on the care of their cars and the value of maintaining their vehicles in accordance with manufacturers’ specifications.
• Refers to service history.
• Inspects vehicle.
• Recommends additional needed service.
• Provides a complete and accurate written cost estimate for labor and parts.
• Checks on progress of repair throughout the day and contacts customers regarding any changes in the estimate or promised time.
• Explains cost and time requirements in detail and gets proper authorization before any additional repairs are performed.
• Keeps service department forms - menus and pricing guides up-to-date.
• Explains completed work and all charges to customers.
• Implements a quality control process to eliminate comebacks.
• Handles telephone inquiries regarding appointments and work in process
