Job summary

Pep Boys Inc. is looking for a customer-focused associate to engage customers at the service desk, sales floor, and register position. You will schedule appointments, sell parts and services, and ensure a smooth checkout process while maintaining vehicle care standards.

The role requires strong communication and customer service skills, with at least one year in automotive service and a high school diploma. This full-time position emphasizes safety, teamwork, and accuracy in transactions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• One year of related experience in automotive service environment.
• One year of sales experience preferred.
• Basic mathematical skills for commissions and discounts.

Responsibilities

• First point of contact for customers on the phone and in the store.
• Engage customers, schedule appointments, build trust, understand needs, and sell parts and services.
• Manage work orders and register transactions; perform vehicle inspections.
• Follow policies on cash, credit, checks, refunds; address customer issues.
• Perform express automotive services including oil changes, tire services, and inspections.
• Uphold safety procedures and maintain a safe, clean work environment.
• Communicate effectively with associates, management, and customers.
• In some locations, perform opening/closing responsibilities.
• Adhere to all company policies and safety rules.
